WAYFIELD Foods, Inc History
In 1982, Ron Edenfield and Ralph Calloway, two businessmen, opened the first Wayfield Foods grocery store in the Atlanta area, Georgia.
The concept is to offer the neighborhood a supermarket different from others, with competitive prices and quality items. Wayfield began to offer a stock of exceptional quality meats.
Within a few years, new supermarkets opened in the Atlanta metropolitan area. In 1989, Ron Edenfield buys 50% of his partner and becomes the owner of the chain of stores.

In 1992, the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) was launched so that any employee could own Wayfield.
Since 1996, Wayfield Foods has been organizing events to collaborate with charities, churches, … in order to support the community where it has stores.
