BREAUX MART Supermarkets History
In 1933, P. Paul Breaux started working in a small grocery store owned by his father and located in New Orleans.
In 1946, after serving in the Air Force and the end of WWII, Breaux opened the first B&C Supermarket, together with his brother-in-law Joseph Cuccia.
In 1969, the first Breaux Mart supermarket opened, and soon after – a second supermarket. The concept was to offer the highest quality products at the lowest price. In 1971 he opened the Metairie store.

Since 1992, Breaux Mart has been owned by Barry Breaux (son of the founder).
