NORTH SHORE FARMS Supermarkets History
The first grocery store of North Shore Farms opened in 2003 in Manhasset, NY, when Nick and Marilena Katopodis bought an old supermarket located on Long Port Boulevard that they called North Shore Marketplace.
The idea of the Katopodis (family of Greek origin) was to offer all the items available in a moderna supermarket but also a selection of specialized farm products in one place.
